Granular PTFE

Granular PTFE resin is a homopolymer of tetrafluoroethylene by suspension polymerization. Properly processed products made from granular PTFE resin provide the superior properties typical of the fluoropolymers: retention of properties after service at 260℃, useful properties at -240℃, chemical inertness to nearly all industrial chemicals and solvents, and low friction and antistick surfaces. Dielectric properties are outstanding and stable with frequency and temperature. Products have moderate stiffness and high ultimate elongation. It can be fabricated into tubes, sheets, rods, films and other articles such as bearings, gaskets, pistons and sliding bearings for bridges, etc, widely for chemical processing, petroleum, spinning and weaving, electrical, pharmaceutical and machinery industries. It can be improved in mechanical properties and creep resistance by adding some filler such as graphite, glass fiber, SiO2, MoS2 or bronze.
Granular PTFE resin can also be treated to produce pelletized resin (free flow) and presintered resin, respectively for automatic isostatic compression molding of sheets and continuous ram extrusion of tubes and rods.
